AJK BISE warns of punitive action




MIRPUR (AJK) - Azad Jammu Kashmir Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has warned all the unregistered private-sector educational institutions (including schools and colleges) to get their institutions registered with the board immediately or be ready for punitive action in accordance with the relevant law, official sources said.

The sources told The Nation here Wednesday that the heads of all the unregistered private educational institutions have been directed to get their institutions registered and affiliated with the AJK BISE within the stipulated time frame in line with the existing law. “Otherwise the students of such unregistered institutions will not be eligible to appear in the annual examinations to be conducted under the auspices of the BISE,” the sources declared.
The BISE has also directed the registered private educational institutions to visibly display the registration number about affiliation with the board on the sign boards of their respective educational institutions - so that the unlawful exercise of running unregistered private educational institutions could be discouraged.
The BISE has also warned the parents of students of private-sector educational intuitions to take care about the credibility of the educational institutions before getting their offspring admitted in such schools and colleges. “The parents should get themselves satisfied about the formal registration and affiliation of the private educational institutions with the BISE prior to getting admission for children in such institutions,” he added.
The board has also initiated action after it was identified that about 50 private-sector educational institutions were working illegally without getting any formal approval from the government. “Such unlawful institutions have also been found involved in the unlawful practice of getting their students launched in the examinations, being held under the auspices of the BISE, through other officially recognised educational institutions”, the sources said and declared that such institutions are not only cheating on the AJK government and the BISE but also being indulged in making bleak the future of the future architects of the nation.
